Being miserable at blogging, I've just realized that I've done virtually nothing resembling an introduction of myself. This is incredibly typical of me, but I'll continue to use the disclaimer of being a terrible blogger as my excuse for all of my blog failings.
For starters, I'm a 35 year old married mother of one. I'm afforded the luxury of staying home to ponder all variety of things and to raise my daughter. It's the one thing that I seem to have done a fair job of in my life despite turning her world upside down on a few occasions. It's not really been that bad - she's just a bit of a drama queen. I think those that haven't really experienced anything too rough make the worst of minor things - but I digress. Suffice it to say that a number of health issues keep me home and relatively inactive (physically anyway) which leads me to feel that I must make use of my mind in a number of different ways. The one that always seems to come most to the forefront is spiritual exploration or what I have come to think of as alchemy.
I've travelled many roads both literally and figuratively. I was born and raised in Montana but moved to Colorado, Nevada, Nebraska, and finally landed in my seemingly permanent home of Missouri. I've also travelled religious roads beginning where many of us do in Christianity, dabbling in "pseudo-witchcraft" as a teen, back to traditional Christianity, on to Judaism, out of Judaism to agnosticism/atheism and have now landed firmly in Paganism. Specifically studying Druidry. I said studying for a reason. I'm not by any means an expert nor do I pretend to be so when I slip up (which I'm bound to do) and say something outside of traditional Druid thought, I have another disclaimer at my disposal. And frankly I'm not sure that this is where I'll stay but right now it feels comfortable and challenging. I'm learning a great deal and have yet to become bored or frustrated with this path. But my spiritual studies have been a bone of contention within my family for years and it shows little evidence of improving any time soon.
I'm fairly liberal minded though I do have "conservative" points of view as well. I'll get into some of those in later entries.
