Most importantly, life is renewed with the coming of spring! That can be reflected in the progress in healing that Annie (YellowDogGranny's kitty) is making as well as the tiny green buds poking their heads out on the branches of the bushes in our yard! Before I know it the trees will be fully dressed in emerald green splendor and my heart will be soaring! I feel so much more alive when the trees are greened up and the leaves dance on the breeze. I can smell the rain and the earth and can feel the roots stretching out to gather up a drink. We've got a spring storm heading our way for one final (I assume) blanket of wet snow but it doesn't look like it is supposed to get cold enough to freeze any of the new growth.
And... I've ordered the Bardic Course! I told you I was going to do it and now I've done it! I'm excited, nervous, anxious, and giddy! I'm not real sure how long it will take to get here but I'm sure it will be at least a few weeks. It will be nice for me to have some sort of structure and direction. I'm not a terribly disciplined person (despite having homeschooled Mini Me for a few years) so I think that the course will provide me with some of what I need to buckle down and be a bit more serious. It certainly can't hurt.
I've also found Tony Benn on Twitter though he's not updating his tweets! For those who don't know, I've got a mad crush on Tony Benn! Yes, my husband's aware of the whole thing! ;o)
There are changes in the air this year. I can't pin down what the differences are yet but they are here and I'm grateful for them. It's long past time to turn things around and move forward. I need to remind myself - baby steps. I've a tendancy to over-do and then I regret it and let everything slide. Thus far I'm doing a pretty fair job of maintaining balance and taking care of myself and I'm actually pretty proud of that. It's not like me at all!
So it's a good day - a GREAT day!
