Hi, folk. Readership is dropping on this lil ol' blog of mine so I'm assuming there's only one of you out there reading at this point. Thought I'd share some updates of things that have gone on at my end of things. Something beyond my rantings over the still illegal status of marijuana for medical and industrial uses especially.
The puppy I trained for my mother in law is quite literally capable of saving her life. They have formed an incredible bond that she desperately needed and his sensitive nature has developed quickly and despite his young age he's picking up on her specific needs. Case in point... My mother in law is on oxygen full time. I trained "Dobby" not to chew on her oxygen hose because this would have been incredibly dangerous for her. Make no mistake about it - Dobby LOVES to chew on anything but never touches her hose - or at least almost never touches it. Last weekend my mother in law was struck by a bout of intestinal disturbance that forced her to tear off her oxygen and race to the restroom. Dobby sense her panic and could hear her pained groans from the bathroom. My mother in law could hear him whimpering and whining from outside of the bathroom door. When she opened the door there was Dobby sitting with her oxygen hose at his feet. He'd dragged the entire thing to the bathroom door with his mouth without puncturing it at all with his sharp little puppy teeth! He is, by far, the smartest little puppy I've ever had the pleasure of working with and I couldn't be more pleased how aware he is of her needs.
Mini Me is going to prom with her new boyfriend. It will be her first prom and of course the excitement is escalating as she and her friend are planning and plotting the night's events. Thus far I like her new boyfriend. He took her out for her first official date Friday and texted me more than she did at the beginning of the night!
Spring may be springing which means that my husband's getting busy. Longer days and later nights for the next 8 months at least.
I've written a paper for an organization I support and have been asked to do a video interview. The former was certainly easier than the latter. I guess I'll let you know how that turns out if I decide to do the interview. Being on camera is certainly not something I'm thrilled about but sometimes we must do the difficult to realize the success of something important to us. I just don't like that kind of attention.
Those are the "major" points of my life at this time. Sorry it's rather boring but I don't lead a really exciting life.
Hope you're well.

Excitement is in the eye of the beholder, and I can't wait for hte stressful joy on my own kid being prom age.
I haven't a good well-formulated comment about your recent posts either other than to say I fully and completely agree with the travesty that is our current War on Drugs. It's changing, slowly, and with continued effort by a good magor minority, as evidenced by continued bills being shot-down in various states. But the fact that the bills get even a single sponsor to even be voted on, means that someday, eventually, enough Politicals will wake up and smell the [rose]buds for their Truth.
Spring is here, and for me, this time of year is the worst. Too late in winter to appreciate the snow much longer, and yet too long until proper Spring starts blooming. It'll get better though, if only for the cynical reason that it can only go up, if you feel you are at the bottom.
Blessings, honest and sincere, to you.
-Maebius.
